Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey - 40%
Jack Daniel's is the worlds most popular American whiskey in the world. It is hard to b unfamiliar with its distinctive square bottle and black label. It is a sour mash whisky produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee by the Jack Daniel Distillery. The distillery itself is located in Moore County, which is a dry county. This means that it is illegal to purchase alcohol in the county yet it is legal to produce it. Jack Daniel's is filtered though charcoal (sugar maple) in large vats before being aged. This is why this whiskey is a 'sour mash' and not a standard bourbon.
1846 saw the birth of Jasper 'Jack' Daniel who became a licensed distiller at approximately twenty years old. He was from a large family with eleven siblings. Jack's grandfather was from Wales and emigrated to America.
