Four Roses - 40%
Straight out of Kentucky, this straight bourbon is very popular and is aged for a minimum of five years in oak barrels for extra smoothness. The distillery carefully select this whisky before bottling to ensure that the taste is consistently oh high quality and with a creamy smooth flavour.
Four rose was established in 1888 by Paul Jones Junior and was the top selling bourbon throughout the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Straight bourbon from this brand was absent whilst a new owner wanted to concentrate on blended whisky instead. However, in the late 1980s the company switched their strategy and realigned their concentration on straight bourbon. Today, Four Roses stands as a very popular premium bourbon.
