The Buffalo Trace Distillery is the oldest distillery in the United States. Located in Franklin County, near to what was once an ancient buffalo crossing on the banks of the Kentucky River. This is where this whisky gets its name from, the American bison that once abundant on the plains nearby.
Made from barley malt, corn and rye and aged in charred oak barrels. Approximately 30 barrels are selected to be mixed before bottling. The Buffalo Trace Distillery has won more awards than any other distillery in the world, and holds seven 'distillery of the year' titles.
